Naming Brand Identity Visual Language Social Campaign
Studio HENK
Studio HENK was founded by two brothers from the south of the Netherlands. Initially named “H&K”, the studio often sparked curiosity about which brother’s name began with “H” and which with “K.”
The decision to rebrand as Studio HENK emerged from the need for a simpler, more impactful identity. To eliminate any confusion and strengthen our connection to Dutch design, I came up with the name “Henk.” This solid, traditional Dutch name is easy to pronounce, making it accessible both locally and internationally. It also reflects the studio’s bold and enduring design philosophy. Dutch design is renowned worldwide for its innovation and craftsmanship, and the name HENK embodies those values.
The rebranding not only clarified our identity but also aligned us with the global reputation of Dutch design, emphasizing our commitment to timeless, well-crafted pieces.
