Last updated: 22 September 2026. Studio Dirkx is me, Styn Dirkx, based in Amsterdam. I keep this simple: I only collect what I need to reply to you and to do the work, and I never sell your details or use them for marketing.

Who is responsible

Studio Dirkx (Styn Dirkx), Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Questions about your data? Email styndirkx@gmail.com.

What I collect

When you use the contact form: your name, company, email address, what's changing, what you need, your budget range and timing, how you found me and your message. When you email me: whatever you choose to send. I don't use analytics or advertising trackers.

Why, and on what basis

To answer your question, prepare a proposal and — if we work together — carry out the project and send invoices. The legal basis is your own request and the steps before and during a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)), and my legal duty to keep financial records (art. 6(1)(c)).

How long I keep it

Enquiries that don't turn into a project are deleted within 12 months. For clients, I keep project correspondence for as long as it's useful and invoices for 7 years, because Dutch tax law requires it.

Who else sees it

Nobody, except the services this website and my email run on: my web host Hetzner Online (Germany, EU) and Google (Gmail) for email. Google may process data outside the EU under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

Cookies and embedded video

This site only uses cookies that are needed for it to work. Videos from YouTube and Vimeo only load after you accept them in the cookie banner, because those services set their own cookies. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie banner.

Your rights

You can ask me to see, correct or delete your data, to limit how I use it, or to receive a copy. Just email me — I'll reply within a month. If you think I'm handling your data wrongly, you can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
